Turntable.fm ...SHUT DOWN?

Yup, you heard it folks. Our beloved turntable.fm has shut down. No more endless nights jamming with your friends or discovering the music tastes of complete strangers.

Goodbye. You will always be in our hearts.

I had so many memorable moments on this site. I would always hang out here with my friends on summers while we spent hours collaborating on buildings in games like minecraft. But the turntable team is now moving onto bigger things. Get this... a website where artists can hold live concerts. Still, not nearly as good as the old turntable, but at least they didn't completely leave without a trace of them ever being there. They got this wonderful idea after raising $670 when Nat and Alex Wolff (remember the Naked Brothers Band?) had a live session, and after they gathered 20,000 people when Knife Party hosted a session. And to that I say, good for them! Some people may think this is a good thing, and some may not be able to down the fact that this great website is gone. Actually, there were a lot of negative reactions. I myself am upset that they shut down, but it will soon pass. Since this website was very dear to us, we may not think the next one will be great. But who knows? It'll be nice to give it a try.

So, what next? Feeling empty? Nowhere else to go? Try this site, which is very similar to turntable.fm. I have just recently migrated to it, and it is very good! Why not give it a try?

Our new turntable!
